Program Summary

Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) is emerging as an important functional breast imaging technique that complements conventional mammography by combining anatomic and vascular information to improve lesion detection and characterization.

This CE-accredited webinar will provide radiologic technologists and imaging administrators with a practical overview of the clinical applications of CEM and Contrast-Enhanced Biopsy (CEBx), including the scientific principles behind the technology, current evidence supporting its use, real-world clinical cases, patient selection, biopsy techniques, and workflow considerations.

Faculty will also discuss implementation strategies, staff training, patient safety, contrast administration, and operational best practices to help imaging practices successfully integrate CEM and CEBx into routine breast imaging services.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the clinical applications and appropriate use of Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) and Contrast-Enhanced Biopsy (CEBx).
  • Apply best practices for patient preparation, contrast administration, imaging workflow, and patient safety during CEM and CEBx procedures.
  • Identify the key operational, staffing, and workflow requirements for implementing a successful CEM program.

No special educational preparation is required for this CE activity!
