With such versatility, clinicians are now using this non-invasive technique for additional diagnostic applications. This Expert Forum will review these principles and discuss current advances that are adding additional clinical value in both the pediatric population and vascular labs.

- Describe the differences between conventional color Doppler, power Doppler and the new SMI (Suberb Microvascular Imaging) technology.
- Identify improvements to imaging capability between conventional color Doppler, power Doppler and SMI.
- Apply SMI to problem solving for pediatric and vascular imaging cases.
