In this first installment of a two-part series, Dr. Liane Philpotts, Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Chief of Breast Imaging, and Dr. Melissa Durand, Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology, both from the Yale School of Medicine, will share their experiences working with digital breast tomosynthesis in a clinical setting.

  1. Analyze the application of digital breast tomosynthesis to the screening mammography environment in terms of recall rates and cancer detection.
  2. Determine how digital breast tomosynthesis can affect diagnostic workup.
  3. Integrate the concepts of digital breast tomosynthesis via select benign and malignant case examples.
