Program Description:
This activity is designed to educate the viewer on how the use of Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI) can be utilized as an adjunct to Mammography, Ultrasound and even Breast MRI in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. The program consists of two presentations by physicians with many years of experience in helping women detect and treat breast cancer; who have adopted the use of BSGI into their practices. You will learn when, where, and why BSGI and other modalities can add such benefit. The presentations are followed by a discussion between the two faculty members and further by additional case study interpretations, which cover various scenarios for you to keep an eye out for.

Learning Objectives:

1.   Understand what BSGI is and how it works
2.   Understand the clinical indications for utilizing BSGI and how it can be incorporated into the diagnostic protocol.
3.   Understand how to interpret the results of BSGI and how they correlate to other modalities.
